Bianca Lashae Moore was born and raised in Marion, AL to Elmer and Hazel Moore Sr. on the 27th day of July in the year of 1991. Bianca is the third child of four -Elmer Jr., Cyrenthia and Tevin, and the aunt of one nephew, Evan Elijah Thomas Moore. Her family has always been a great support system throughout her life with her mother and father being her number one fans. Formal education was given from Albert Turner Sr. Elementary School and Francis Marion High School. Throughout Bianca’s high school journey, she participated in most of the organizations that Francis Marion High School had to offer including: Student Government Association, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Ladies in Training, and Society of Eminent Scholars in which she was actively involved and president of each of them. During her senior year Bianca served as Senior Class President, Homecoming Queen, and graduated Salutatorian of the Class of 2009. After graduation, Bianca entered Miles College in Birmingham.
Being granted a Presidential Scholarship, the mentality of knowing that when much is given, much is expected, became her guiding light. Bianca, a twenty-one year old graduating senior majoring in Secondary Education English/Language Arts, plans to teach high school sophomores. After graduation, Bianca plans to earn her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Education. After years of teaching, plans for furthering her career into education administration are in order. Bianca’s career at Miles College has been one of servitude. Being known on campus for the saying, “Everything is Fine”, Bianca quickly engulfed the campus into firmly believing that wearing a smile, in spite of, will teach you to value your adversities. Serving as Miss Freshman 2009-2010, Bianca became quickly fond of the great institution, Miles College. She was also appointed the president of the freshman forum for the Honors Curriculum. In her sophomore year, she was elected to serve as Sophomore Class President, Miss Education, and Vice-President of Communications for the Honors Curriculum. In the 2011-2012 academic school year, Bianca became president of the Honors Curriculum and is currently maintaining her position of president. While maintaining her status as a presidential scholar, Bianca acknowledges that God has truly blessed her and is continuously shaping her for His liking. Bianca states, “God has given me a willingness to be of truly great service and it is my intent to leave that lasting mark on the Miles College community and everyone that I may come in contact with in life. I am what God has made me to be. I am destined for greatness.”
